There are several areas within the engineering covering different
activities, each with its own needs, tools and relationship
to other modules.
Product Development
The product development has to define new products and to
determine the process on how to manufacture and control them.
Process Development:
This area creates the process control, defines routings, use
of machinery and redundancies.
Facilities Engineering
Maintenance of the mill, planned downtime, replacements and
upgrades are responsibilities of this area. Data extracted
in this area is used in other modules like planning and production.
Engineering Release Control:
This area controls program versions, databases and keeps the
system up and running, including database control, facility
control, software license control and other activities which
are convert in maintenance of an investment.
Engineering Management
Every System is interlinked to others and needs technical
know-how on how to be changed, enhanced or tuned. This area
is responsible for supporting all other department with technical
solutions like customized reporting, for the quality of the
product and throughput of the mill.
